"If" Bets

An If Bet allows you to increase your betting power and limit your risk by placing multiple bets on one betting ticket; each individual bet after the first bet will only have action if the previous bet in the sequence is successful. In other words, if your first pick loses then the second bet will not be activated.  Think of it as a 'if - then" bet.  If your first selection wins then it triggers your second bet.  This differs from a parlay as they are treated as two separate wagers.  You can choose to wager whatever amount you wish on the second selection.  If bets are available at most of our recommended online sportsbooks.

An If Bet is also useful if you want to make more than one bet, but do not have adequate funds in your account to cover the second bet unless the first bet wins.

IF bets come in handy when you would like to play a parlay and your selections' prices are below 2.00 or +100.  You will make more of a profit if you play an if bet instead of a two team parlay.  A parlay makes more sense if the prices are higher that those in the previous example.  Happy winning!!
